Assessment of knowledge management (KM) helps knowledge-based organizations to establish their KM process effectively. So, it is necessary to define some measures to evaluate KM process of these organizations. These indicators can measure efficiency and effectiveness of KM process in knowledge-based organizations. The purpose of this paper development of an assessment model for KM process in knowledge-based companies. In this study, a model was developed based on four enabler factors of knowledge management including “human resources, information technology, education and culture”, and four KM sub-processes including “creating, storing, sharing and applying knowledge”. The statistical sample consists of staff and faculty members of University of Qom in which the developed model is evaluated as a case study. A descriptive-survey research method was conducted in this study based on a questionnaire. The results indicate that University of Qom has not focused enough on KM process. Also, the results of the Fridman test show that none of the studied factors and processes is in a desirable condition in the university; it has been pay less attention to “Organizational culture” and “knowledge creating”, whereas “education” and “knowledge applying” have received more attention. Business intelligence (BI) is the tool used by enterprises to collect, manage and analyze structural and non-structural data and also information by taking advantage of modern information technology. It utilizes a substantial amount of collected data during the daily operational processes, and transforms the data into information and knowledge to avoid the supposition and ignorance of the enterprises. In the last decade, Business intelligence has evolved as one of the critical applications in organizations to provide useful insight, support decision-making, and drive organizational performance. However, to avoid the ineffective experiences during the deployment, it is important to clarify the impact factors of a BI system and find out a Suitable assessment method to evaluate the performance of BI systems. Evaluating the effectiveness of business intelligence systems is vital to our understanding of the value and efficacy of management actions and investments. This research is a descriptive survey. We construct an Assessment model to assess the performance of business intelligence systems based on the outcomes of previous researches. Furthermore, an expert questionnaire using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to filter out useful performance indicators. The analytic hierarchy process is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions. Finally, we analyze a real case by using the constructed assessment model for Business Intelligence systems. We choose an automotive parts manufacturer as a case. The survey sample population consisted of 66 randomly taken employees and managers of the case. The results indicate that the performance of Business Intelligence system in our case was suitable. Evaluating the performance of the knowledge-based companies settled in science and technology parks is one of the criteria for determining the success rate of these STPs. Promoting the necessary skills in STP managers through the implementation of real and operational performance assessment systems is the best way for fulfilling this goal. The STPs mission could be achieved through a n integrated chain from research to production. Removing the gap between scientific and research ideas into products and services, directing the knowledge-based companies, meeting the actual needs and providing value-added services to the commercialization stage are the major missions of technology parks. The existence of a model for analyzing the role and the status of effective factors through assessment process is considered as one of the important measures for developing science and technology which has been paid less attention in Iran today. Therefore, there are different items used in assessment procedure including gaining some statistics on technology level, the relationship between the components of science and technology system, the status of intellectual property, cooperation methods between higher education and research centers with industries and organizations, diversity of financial resources and the rate of incomes, attracted investments, the scope of providing services and products, the number of customers and many other factors which are considered in a k-based company as key factors. This paper intends to investigate and present the best assessment and effectiveness evaluation model together with the performance of k-based companies mostly obtained based on the tacit knowledge through ISTT experiences. The objective is to localize executive processes in accordance with the cultural and social structures in Iran. Manuscript profile

Technology is the making, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem or perform a specific function. It can also refer to the collection of such tools and machinery One of the key factors of the failure of employing technology to gain competitive advantage in the developing countries firms is the lack of knowledge and understanding of the firm technological capabilities level and using them on the same side of relative advantages. Technological needs assessment is something which is used for the purpose of determining which features are needed to implement Technological priorities. Technological assessment not only identifies weak and problematic areas of the firm, but also takes relative advantages of the firm into consideration and defines them. In this research, we are trying to investigate technological capabilities level of Yasan Steel Structures Co. using technological needs assessment model. This model has evaluated capability level of the firm from 9 aspects, and determines the situation of the firm in each and every one and suggestions in order to reduce the existing gap are offered. Transfer of technology plays a pivotal role in the industrialization of developing countries. The challenge faced by these countries is the non-avail of Transfer of Technology (ToT) model that can depict the technology transfer process by involving the internal and external factors. As the technology assessment and selection is the main process in ToT, so this paper focuses on this area and propose two approaches for development of a ToT model. Also existing analytical approaches to technology evaluation and selection, such as engineering-economic analysis, cost benefit analysis and optimization techniques have limited applicability due to imprecise and non-quantifiable evaluation of variable and factors. This paper proposes approaches to assess technology on both quantitative and qualitative bases simultaneously, involving all internal and external factors (forces) that affect the entire ToT process. During the last decade, the key role of information and communication technology has proven to facilitate the process of transition and change of organizations; The e-readiness is the platform for entering into the modern time and activities in the networked world ad well as competition in the market. Thus, the design of e-readiness evaluation models, regarding the internal and environmental conditions of organizations and communities with the purpose of assessing their e-readiness level is necessary. However, without the evaluation of e-readiness of the organization, activity in the networked world will be impossible and have very high obstacles. In this paper, a brief introduction of the proposed models for the evaluation of the e-readiness and their classification have been discussed. Moreover, the factors influencing the e-readiness of the small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the e-commerce market have been investigated and detected through a combination approach of Shannon entropy. In this paper, after identifying and introducting existing models; the concepts, dimensions, and indices of the research were extracted and ranked by the Shannon entropy method. The results of this study show that the first ranked factors were organizational factors. Then environmental and man power factors were ranked second and third, respectively. Manuscript profile
